Advanced ID seeks partner for GSM, GPS and more

     Advanced ID Corporation has said that it is actively seeking a joint venture partner to establish a research and development company to develop solutions for broad-based RFID applications based on GSM, cellular, RTLS and GPS platforms.

     "Our experience in the RFID industry over the past ten years has given us a clear understanding of the opportunity presently in front of us," explained Barry Bennett, president and CEO for Advanced ID Corporation. "It is our goal to be a complete solutions provider and integrator of technology for the RFID industry which we believe is still in its infancy, and which is expected to grow significantly over the next several years."

     "We feel this will allow us to further our ability to provide customised solutions to our clients and to grow our revenue base through diversification beyond RFID applications for animals," added Bennett.

Existing markets
     Advanced ID Corporation is currently involved in the commercialisation of RFID-based systems for the positive identification and tracking of animals or objects. The company''s low-frequency RFID chips, scanners, and its proprietary PETtrac database are primarily aimed at the pet and biological sciences markets. The company also markets its UHF DataTRAC tags, readers, and software solutions to help minimise or eliminate biosecurity and food safety issues related to the livestock industry.
