In successfully completing the audit, the Alien RFID Solutions Center is now accredited to provide RFID-tagged unit performance testing services in dynamic conveyor and dock door portal environments, in order to provide organizations with the assurance of a uniform level of readability for their tagged items across the supply chain.
"As an accredited Performance Test Center, the Alien RFID Solution Center is able to perform conveyor and dock door RFID performance, or readability, testing for customers and partners, and certify the results," said Damon Bramble, General Manager, RFID Solutions Center, Dayton. "We are pleased to provide this kind of trusted testing environment to help companies accelerate their RFID implementations, and are already engaged in conducting our first accredited tag placement exercises."
"We want to make it easy for end users to ensure that their tagged shipments can be read before sending them through their global supply chains," said Chris Adcock, president of EPCglobal Inc. "The EPCglobal Performance Test Center Accreditation Program will help end users be assured that an accredited third party has established that these shipments can be read."
